Summer fun at the Tarkio Resource Center

There are lots of fun, summer activities at the Tarkio Resource Center (10 - 11 am lower level, kindergarten thru 5th grades, please wear paint clothes):

July 14 - Printing with leaves
July 21 - Board games
July 28 - Pony bead animals
You must preregister for the crafts and board games so there are enough supplies and help.

Storytime with Brooke Walton will also be held this summer in the Resource Center for pre-K through elementary ages, 9:30 - 10:30 am: July 8, 10, 17, 20, & 24, and August 7, 10, & 14.

Mule Barn Theatre Guild hosting events for kids

Please joing the free, fun activities sponsored bt the Mule Barn Theater Guild, including a hobby/craft or games. This is for students who have finished kindergarten through fifth grade. It will be in the basement of the Tarkio Resource Center and run from 10-11 am on July 14, July 21, and July 28. Please wear clothes that could get paint on them. Pre-registration is necessary. Lunch will be provided for a free-will donation.

THS Class of '80 reunion

The Tarkio High School class of 1980 is planning a 40th reunion Friday, July 10,at the Doug Summa Park by the Community Building at 6:30 pm. Please bring your own drinks and snacks. The group will also meet at the 1887 Bar and Grill on Main Street in Tarkio on Saturday, July 11, at 6:30 pm.

Pop-Up Mobile Pantries

Community Services Inc., along with Second Harvest Community Food Bank, will be hosting three more Pop-Up Mobile Pantries in Atchsion County in July.

Liberty Theatre hosting youth production workshop of The Little Mermaid, Jr.

The workshop for leads/supporting roles will run July 13-17. All workshop participants will meet July 20-24. They will meet Monday-Friday from 9 am - 12 pm for both weeks. Safety precautions will be taken. Performances will occur sometime during the weekend of July 24-26. Registration closes July 1.

"Magic on Main Street"

The Fairfax Optimist Club has chosen "Magic on Main Street" as the theme for the 2020 Fairfax Fair which will be held August 21 and 22.
