Evolution Remote Manual

This Remote Control will operate your Set Top Box.

Additionally it may be programmed to turn your TV ON/OFF.

 

Two new AAA batteries will need to be inserted in the remote.

TV Code Programming

 

Note: The Remote Control operates Sony TV by default. If you have Sony TV, point the Remote Control to the TV & press the Power button. If the TV operates, you do not need to program the Remote Control.

 

A. Program by TV brand code:

    1. Manually turn on the TV.

    2. Locate your brand and code number at the bottom of this page.
        a. Example Panasonic TV: 005, 006, 007, 008,

    3. First, press & hold the Setup button.

    4. While holding the Setup button, press the TV (power) button.

    5. The Setup button will turn red, indicating the remote is in program mode.

    6. Release both keys.

    7. Enter the 3-digit Device Code that you located in STEP 2.

    8. The red Setup button turns off if the code has been accepted by the remote controller.

    9. If the button flashes twice, the code was incorrect, it will remain in program mode.
          a. Re-enter the correct code. If no code is enter with 10 seconds, it will exit program mode.

    10. Point the Remote Control to the TV & press the Power button. If the TV turns off the remote is now programmed to the TV.

    11. If the TV fails to turn off, go back to STEP 2 & enter the next code on the list.

B. Program by Auto Search:

  1. Manually turn on the TV.

  2. Press & hold the Setup button.

  3. While holding down the Setup button, press the TV (power) button and hold both buttons down for 3 seconds.

  4. The Setup button will begin flashing, indicating the remote is in Auto Search program mode.

  5. If the Setup button is not flashing ,wait till the LED turns off & then re-press the Setup button & then the TV (power) button.

  6. Continue STEP 2 until the Setup button flashes continuously- indicating Auto Search programming is on.

  7. Switch on the TV again by pressing the TV (power) button.

  8. If the TV turns on, the Remote Control is programmed.

C. Program by Manual Search:

  1. Manually turn on the TV.

  2. Press & hold the Setup button.

  3. While holding down the Setup button, press the TV (power) button.

  4. The Setup button will turn red, indicating the Remote Control is in program mode.

  5. Release both buttons.

  6. Point the Remote Control to the TV & press the TV (power) button once every 2 seconds until the TV turns off.
  7. The Setup button will flash each time.
  8. Once the TV turns off, do not press any buttons & wait till the setup button on the Remote Control turns off.
  9. The remote control is now programmed.

D. TV Volume Priority:

The remote volume buttons, by default, controls the set top box volume. To control the volume of your TV please do the following.

 

  1. Press & release the Setup button & Volume Up button at the same time.

  2. The remote will control your Volume +/- & Mute buttons.

  3. To change back the Volume to control the Set Top Box, repeat STEP 1.
